The Country Shaped Like a Woman

"A  map unfolding, celestial blue becomes oceanic, the spirit of cartographers, a country shaped like a woman.

New flags, new horizons. father and motherlands cease to have always existed.

Wars, divine right boundaries, territories are resorbed into the flow of history.

Renewal will reveal clarity, it will unveil a country shaped like a woman."

The names on the map are the names of people and places I know. In a nutshell, they represent my own cosmology, or cosmogony.

The panoramic landscape shows the harbor of Sebastopol circa 1918, empty of its warships.
